About this service

An ADHD assessment is designed to clarify whether attention-related patterns may be contributing to challenges in daily life. At ShiftGrit Calgary, we provide structured ADHD assessments that offer clarity, context, and direction — without unnecessary ambiguity.

Our assessments emphasize transparency, efficiency, and clinical rigour, so individuals and families understand what’s happening, why conclusions are reached, and what options may be worth considering next. ADHD assessments at our Mount Royal studio are offered for two clearly defined age groups — children/youth (developmental and educational contexts) and adults (academic, occupational, and daily-life performance) — each tailored to the developmental stage and life context of the individual being assessed.

The assessment does not change neurodevelopmental wiring. Its purpose is to provide a clear framework to understand how your brain operates and how to work with it more effectively. If ADHD is identified and you want follow-on therapy, our clinicians work within the Identity-Level Therapy orientation, applying the ShiftGrit Core Method™ to address the belief patterns that compound the ADHD experience — but the assessment and therapy are distinct services.

Assessments are conducted in-person at our Mount Royal studio (815 17 Avenue SW). Same-week intake consultations are typically available.
