About this service
A behavioural assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s actions, emotional responses, and environmental factors that contribute to their behaviour. At ShiftGrit Calgary, we provide behavioural and emotional assessments that can be tailored to include diagnostic components — particularly for first responders, individuals preparing to return to work, or anyone seeking a full diagnostic evaluation tied to a specific clinical or workplace context.
The assessment identifies patterns, triggers, and underlying causes of specific behaviours. Where return-to-work or fitness-for-duty considerations apply, we focus on areas such as stress management, coping strategies, and resilience-building — integrating diagnostic evaluation with targeted recommendations to facilitate a structured return to function.
We recommend scheduling a consultation first so we can tailor the assessment process to your specific requirements and ensure all necessary diagnostic components are included. If ongoing therapy is part of the recommended next step, our clinicians work within the Identity-Level Therapy orientation using the ShiftGrit Core Method™, applied to a range of clinical concerns including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more.
Assessments are conducted in-person at our Mount Royal studio (815 17 Avenue SW). Same-week intake consultations are typically available.
