On this page you’ll see licensed clinicians available for in-person or virtual sessions in Ontario (on).
We outline the plan up front, teach the “why”, and keep sessions focused on specific changes that matter to you.
You have two minds that shape every moment: the one that thinks and the one that reacts. When something triggers old fear or shame, your reactive mind jumps in first — just like how you’d flinch at a spider before realizing it’s harmless. The ShiftGrit approach helps you retrain that automatic system so your reactions finally line up with what you know to be true — calm, confident, and in control.
Licensed Ontario (on) clinicians available for virtual sessions. Start with a clear plan, practical tools, and sessions focused on what matters to you.
Our clinicians hold credentials recognized by the major licensing and professional bodies serving Ontario (on) and across Canada.

Identity-Level Therapy targets the belief patterns and emotional loops driving automatic reactions—not just the surface symptoms. By working at the identity layer, clients shift how they interpret safety, regulate threat, and relate to themselves and others. The result: reconditioning at the root of shame, self-sabotage, reactivity, and overwhelm.
It’s organized around three pillars:

Sleep disorders include difficulties falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested — often linked to stress, anxiety, or an overactive mind. While the body wants rest, the brain sometimes stays in “threat mode,” making true relaxation difficult. At ShiftGrit, we help clients understand why their brain resists rest and use structured reconditioning techniques to retrain emotional and physiological responses so sleep becomes easier, steadier, and more natural over time.
Our therapy model combines education, emotional regulation, and practical tools. Using Pattern Theory™, we identify the beliefs and emotional patterns that maintain restlessness — such as “I have to be in control” or “If I relax, something will go wrong.” Through Reconditioning, we help your brain recognize that nighttime is safe, guiding it away from hypervigilance and back toward calm. This process addresses the emotional cause of disrupted sleep rather than just the symptom.
Yes. Chronic sleep issues often become habitual — your brain learns to stay alert even when you’re tired. Therapy helps unlearn that response through education, repetition, and gentle emotional retraining. Over time, clients often notice their body naturally beginning to wind down, their thoughts slowing, and their sense of rest improving as the threat system quiets.
That’s very common. While routines like limiting screen time and adjusting bedtime can support good sleep, they don’t usually address why your brain won’t let you rest. Our structured approach works with the deeper emotional patterns — teaching your mind and body to relax and trust that it’s safe to rest. Once those underlying triggers are addressed, external techniques often become much more effective.
Yes. We offer in-person therapy for sleep disorders in Ontario (on) and secure virtual sessions across Ontario (on). Both formats use the same structured, transparent approach, helping clients develop awareness, regulation skills, and long-term calm regardless of where they’re located.
