What do you do at Shift?

I offer individual therapy sessions for adults and adolescents. I also provide assessment services for individuals seeking to better understand their mental health concerns. I can help people feel at ease by welcoming them and helping them ease their way in with a structured onboarding process.

What are your academic credentials?

Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology

Why did you decide to become a therapist?

I will have the opportunity to explore new challenges and learn new things about myself, I enjoy working with people and help people grow as individuals. I wanted to help people find their full potential and live happier.

What do you bring to your therapy sessions, and what are some goals?

My goal in therapy is to help my clients to find their inner peace and overcome their everyday struggles and conflicts.

I work with adults, adolescents, couples and children.

Why are you passionate about what you do?

My career opens up many opportunities to have a positive effect on someone's life.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, I do carpentry and wood painting, and cooking.

What is a skill that you are currently working on?

I have been actively engaged in my own journey of self-acceptance for many years. This gives me compassion and understanding for individuals and couples. I use a variety of therapeutic strategies to connect with my clients, help them explore distress and unfulfillment, and manifest meaningful lives. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and use a holistic approach toward mental health as I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. I am skilled in working with a variety of presenting concerns, such as trauma, chronic pain, PTSD, relationship conflicts, ADHD, substance use, immigration issues, depression, anxiety, parenting, and self-esteem concerns.

What motivates or inspires you?

The complexity of human emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and the curiosity to understand it has been a huge source of motivation for me.
